There’s a photo of me in the mid-1970s, sitting on a rock in Garden of the Gods National Park, in Colorado Springs. I am a teenager, wearing bermuda shorts and t-shirt, a Farrah Fawcett hairstyle, Dr. Scholls’ sandals on my feet. And skinny. I had no idea I ever looked like this. But that’s my face, and I remember touring that park with my parents.
